My Thesis project for the Illustration as Visual Essay MFA is inspired by "Folk Horror", a strain of Horror film and fiction that encompasses themes of the occult, pagan ritual and geological sentience. Through a series of narrative images, this work explores the tension between the pastoral idylls and bloody history of the British countryside.
